What is Emercoin?

"More than a currency" is their motto and they live up to it by already being available on Microsoft's Azure cloud computing platform. And they are reaaally into distributed blockchain services. EMCSSH, EMCSSL, EMCDNS, InfoCard, Magnet, the list of their projects goes on and on. Being around since 2013 means something too.

There's a TON of code and products available today: not tomorrow, or next year.. no vaperware.

How many of them are they?

CMC says ~41m circulating with a total supply of ~1b that sounds like it might be hit in about 50 years or less.

Who's the team?

They have cryptography (the original meaning of 'crypto' and still the most relevant one today) experts, finance, blockchain and IT experts. Small, but apparently agile.

How is Emercoin different?

It's been around and it's still here. Tons of code and partnerships aren't something many projects can say they have.

The Final

Based on the FA, EMC looks like a low to medium risk with medium reward potential if they are able to pick up and deliver on partnerships and use cases. Picking it up under 15-20k sats would be bargain or under five dollars would be an upper entry while still expecting solid gains.
