Elf on 523s Shelf: Day 2

@armshippie has set up an Elf on the Shelf Contest for Steemit and asked me to join in. This is my first year for the Elf with our son Caleb so I am excited to share what ideas I have used and see what others have used as well.

I was awoken by Caleb early this morning saying that his Elf had scrunched himself into the birdhouse caleb built at Cub Scout. This was supposed to be a rock solid hideout for Jingle but to my despair Caleb found him within seconds of walking into our kitchen. This has become a #mommyfail for me. 🙄. But that’s ok. I have even better plans tonight. 👍 Our Elf did leave Caleb some candy and a note congratulating him on getting at 💯 on his spelling test. ⭐️ As you can see at the end of the note is the hideout hint that Caleb never read but still found the Elf.
