Beautiful animal

Don't know if this is fake news or not. The article reports that this elephant, upon learning his 84 year-old owner died in an accident, came on its own volition to the altar of the dead and kneeled to pay final respect.

I think there should be no doubt that animals experience same emotions we humans do. I just hope the human population can decrease by at least half so that fewer animals are sacrificed to feed us and more can enjoy more space and freedom that they are entitled as well on this earth.

By the way, please refrain from riding elephants in SE Asia. You can Google yourself to find out how abused and mistreated these animals are to profit their operators.
I think this elephant in the story was more like a pet of its owner.
