Hello everybody! My new drawing!
Theatrical masks appeared for the first time in the theaters of ancient Greeks and Romans, there were only two kinds: comic and tragic, they were "laughter" and "sadness". It was this pair of masks that eventually became the emblem of the art of the theater. The mask served as a way to convey the emotional expression of the actor. In honor of the god of winemaking Dionysus, the first theatrical performances were held, in which gods and people took part, scenarios and myths were played there. The tragic masks used meant deep sorrow and mournful despair, and comic, on the contrary, joy and laughter. A pair of such masks means the variability of human roles and images in this life.

I always found those masks scary! :) Your painting is great BUT they are still scary!! :)
I also think it's creepy :)
Ah, tragicomedy, the two masks of drama :) What a lovely and classical way to frame the concept of 'duplicity' :) I really like this, @vitalina :D
