Color Artistic Nudes
Color Artistic Nudes
The artistic nude is often associated with eroticism, although through history the nude has been represented in mythological or religious images, even for anatomical study in the artistic field or as a representation of a stereotype of beauty or an aesthetic ideal of perfection . Artistic Nude has been present in our culture since long before the invention of photography, when sculpture and painting were the only means to represent life visually, although it has undergone various changes in its meaning depending on the time and the culture.
In art, nudes have been a fundamental element since prehistory, we have the example of the Venus de Willendorf, to this day, but as a way to express the need to know and explore yourself.
The Process
In this practice I used pens and colored pencils on an opaline A4 paperboard, I had already done some nude works before, but none using colored pencils, almost always I have worked with this type of oil paintings.
To begin the sketches were made with pencils 4h and then marked with a ballpoint pen in the outline
This illustration was a little complicated although in my opinion it is the best of the repertoire, the angle since it is drawn is quite complicated to work, the contrasting light colors with strong shadows give it a touch of realism, always taking care of the softness of the color of the skin.
Artistic Nude portrayal is one of the most common practices of Painters and Artists, it is a form of pure art, without filters or censorship, a beautiful way to represent on a canvas the perfection of human body that alone is already a perfect work of art.
The Finished Artwork
"A painter is not intellectual because he painted a naked woman, he leaves in our minds the idea that she is going to dress again right away."
