Electronic Car Door Handles
Electronic door handles are a growing problem for modern cars. The trend of replacing mechanical door handles with electronic handles can cause a passenger to become trapped in the event of a crash or some other reason for a loss of accessory power, and someone on the outside may not be able to open the door to free the passenger. Emergency release handles may not be obvious, especially to a victim who is panicking while suffering heat-exhaustion or trying to escape a fire. In some cases, the lack of a mechanical door handle has resulted in death. Say no to electronic door handles that lack easily-accessible mechanisms to open the door from the inside!
