Thank you for this interesting story @jadams2k18, first this reminded me “Alien” movie, where the human colony was out of reach and had been attached by aliens. I love sci-fi movies, for me it is like possible version of our future, there is a possibility of life somewhere in space and of course the life will try to spread itself and fight for territory. The strongest will win that is the law of nature. Your story, had another turn, human were able to change the mind of aliens and make them to learn emotions, love, kindness, respect. I am glad to see happy end. But have you ever thought that there are not only good emotions in human but bad side too, such as envy, hate toward the strangers, sadistic behavior, it is difficult to know what kind of emotions will alien like. But that probably will be another story. Like the character of Sharon and also Tak :)

Appreciate you taking the time to read my story. It is true that there are other emotions and I know them very well, I live constantly surrounded by them with the situation that my country is going through. That's why I take refuge in my stories, where the best of the human being comes to light, in search of solutions and peaceful mediations. What reason is more powerful than love? Hahaha
At first, I thought about killing and destroying all of them (humans and aliens, dragged by vengeance), but it turned out that in English the genres are not as visible as in Spanish. The captain that I had been thinking about being a man, at first, but then I thought that maybe a woman would see a more social alternative to establish a mediation between species without resorting to violence and more knowing that they were at a technological disadvantage.
But in the end, (as I mentioned in another comment )I knew that neither of them would let the other die...
Tak's decision was the most crucial, perhaps the most important decision, to leave the future of both species in Sharon's hands.
