Electrical Rates by State

According to the Nebraska Government Website, of the 50 states in the US, Hawaii has the highest average per kilowatthour price for electrical energy at 26 cents.   Washington State came in with the lowest cost per kilowatt hour at 7.41 cents.

This list is created annually.  The last one was put together June 28th of 2016, so an updated one should be along soon.

Where I live in New Jersey, the average cost of electricity, according to this site, is $13.93 per kilowatt hour!

Every bitcoin / alt coin miner should be aware of their costs of mining.  Know when the rates are less expensive, like in the evening hours, which are called "off-peak".   

One way of avoiding a large electric utility bill is to use Solar Energy!
