Detroit presents a futuristic crossover GAC Enverge Concept

After the preliminary announcement, the Chinese company GAC Motor officially presented several novelties at the Auto Show in Detroit-2018. The greatest interest of the public was caused by the concept of crossover GAC Enverge Concept.It is worth recalling that the Chinese brand GAC has long expressed a desire to "conquer" the US market. That is why for the fifth year in a row the manufacturer brings its new products to Detroit to assess the reaction of potential consumers.
The prototype GAC Enverge Concept presented in Detroit is a concept with a futuristic exterior design. For example, the car does not have a central body pillar. Access to the salon is opened by two huge butterfly-wing doors.And, at the doors of the concept there are no glasses. Although, the company said that the side windows of the conceptual cross-country GAC Enverge Concept are made of innovative glass that looks opaque from the outside and merges into a single unit with the car's door panels.
However, the photos show that the windows are opaque and from the salon. As our colleagues suggest, "Innovative material is just a legend of designers-developers of the company, and in reality there is no such glass in GAC, and instead of it ordinary plastic is used."Representatives of the Chinese brand told that a bold and spectacular design of the novelty was worked by a group of specialists led by Rick Chen. Recall that the chief designer of the Chinese company used to work fruitfully in the company Acura.
The conceptual cross-section of the GAC Enverge Concept is equipped with an electric power unit. No information about its capacity and characteristics was provided by the Chinese company. It is known only that on one complete "refueling" the car is capable to overcome the order of 595 km.
