Internal Communications systems or Social Media accounts could be compromised as fakers send out false info to legit accounts.
Storage Locations may be vulnerable to physical tampering or destruction of voting equipment by attackers.
Electronic poll books by those who gain access using a wireless connection or because the physical device is not properly secure.
Voter Registration Systems could be blocked and it’s data and encryptions could be erased through ransomware.
Vote Casting Devices may be vulnerable to physical tampering using removable media or remotely using a wireless connection. Allowing malicious actors to modify a vote on election day.
Election Management systems could be compromised due to commercial software and hardware with secure weaknesses or config errors in network connections. A successful attack would allow manipulation of results during an electronic transmission of vote tallies.
Official websites may be susceptible to compromise as attackers may replicate the official state or count the website and post Opposite results of what are being reported so that now a winner, will be the loser.
