Thoughts about the finnish presidential election
Yesterday was the last day of our election and our old President is now our new president. A 69 year old man won with his only campain promise "Omistaudun suomen asialle" meaning "I belong to the finnish cause". With 62,7 % of the vote.
It seems to be common in representative democrays that the one who comes up with the most meaningless campaign promise wins. ("Yes we can", "make america great again" etc). And also here in finland the president dosent have that much power and the sitting president will always be elected for his second 6 years. You would need to kill puppies in the parlament house to not do be elected.
But Sauli Niinistö is not just a random guy. He was the man who brought Finland to the EU with a LIE. He was our finance minister at that time and told everyone that that we should all vote for EU becouse we will have an other vote for joining the EURO. But when the time to join EURO came he told the finnish people there will not be an other vote becouse it was decided already when we voted to join the EU.
He was at that time also a member of the Bilderberg if anyone cares.
Now Sauli Niinistö wants more censorship laws and stricter hatespeech laws.
Future doesn't look bright for finland.
