Voting for awful human beings.
I changed my voter registration from Libertarian to Democrat during the last election. It wasn't about me changing where I stand--I'm still an anarchist--but; Yang and Gabbard seemed tolerable enough.
If you're actually a usual Democrat or a proud member of the Left, how do you defend yourself now?
Your best defense is to buy in to Trump conspiracies that Biden was a politicial insider who stole the election.
Otherwise, Biden won fair and square, which is what I think happened.
If that's what happened, a bunch of people who are supposed to be anti-war voted for a war monger. A bunch of people who are supposed to be pro-immigration voted for a person who supported deporting as many brown people as possible. The people who were supposed to be pro-marijuana legalization passed over a candidate who agrees while voting for a vice president who imprisoned thousands for possession. The people who are complaining that the $600 stimulus check decided to vote against $1,000 per month in universal basic income (which, by the way, I don't think is a good idea; but, anybody demanding thousands per month in Covid stimulus checks who didn't support Yang is a fucking moron).
You tell us that we can't complain if we don't vote.
Again, I went out of my way to change my voter registration to vote in the primaries and both of the half way okay candidates dropped out before I could vote.
You did that.
Yes, I'll complain despite whether or not I vote because you morons won't vote for human beings who aren't awful
Do you think you're more likely to find pro-liberty candidates in the Republican or Democrat party? I could see a case for either - but most of the explicit ones seem to be in the Republican party, ie., Rand Paul, Thomas Massie, etc.
