How much does a witness earn?
What is a Witness?
Different times we explained what is a Witness and what's their importance. But..... we will do it again!!!!
As I have already explained, Steem is a Blockchain based on POB e DPOS.
Proof of Brain means that you will use all your brain to contribute on the to growth of STEEM. How?
Of course by writing good quality content Posts.
Delegated Proof of Stake means that you will be a Strong Witness as much as your Comulative SP. Users Trust Witnesses by voting, giving so more cumlative SP based on their profile.
A user with 100 SP is not like a user with 1000 SP. If you have 10 people with 100 SP it's the same of one with 1000SP
Witnesses are not there only to make "free" money, they carry on Projects to keep the blockchain Strong. I will not explain how they do it technically....

How much @yanosh01 as Witness Earn?
I earn like Zero.... and i'll show you!!
To verify it we need 2 sites
1- The @drakos Witness List:https://steemian.info/witnesses
2- The @steemchiller site with users informations: https://steemworld.org/@yanosh01
The first site permit us to check the list of top 400. At the moment I'm writing, my position is 114 with 254 Cumulative Steem Power (MV).
- MV it's important because users have their position based on it
So my 114 position it's based on 254 MV of active users.
What give you rewards it's the position (higher you are then more you will earn).
How much @yanosh01 staying on 114 earn?
Take the witness you want to control and go on the second site. Now click on Witness Details:
At the center of this page you can see how much i earned since i become a Witness (around 3 months ago).
i earned around 7.78 SP in one month.
Considering:
1 SP = 1 STEEM
1 STEEM today is around 3$
I earned= around 25$ in one month
All earning are not liquids and become SP. This value cannot be taken before 2 Years!!
Considering i paid for a VPS server, I can say that I'm not earning.
another question is:
OK you don't earn so much, but how much earn the first Witness?
I don't want to make names of witnesses only for respect, but you can see alone on the list i gave you before.
Calculate it:
1.934 SP = 1.934 STEEM
1 STEEM today is around 3$
He earned around 6000$ every week
It's 24k in one month

there's nothing wrong for a witness to make money as long as they help the community.
the problem in the witnesses that take the money for doing nothing.
