Real Betis strengthened its chance in the European participation next season after achieving a difficult victory and defeating Granada 2-1 on Monday at the end of the thirty-fifth stage of the Spanish League.

Real Betis raised its score to 54 points to clinch sixth place from Villarreal, two points behind Real Sociedad, fifth-place qualified for the group stage of the European League.

Granada and stuck at 45 points, in tenth place.

Borja Iglesias opened the scoring for Betis in the 39th minute, then Granada drew with a goal by Darwin Macchis in the 66th minute, before Iglesias scored the winning goal for Real Betis 3 minutes before the end of the match.
