Prior to joining Bokee.com, Dr. Lu was the Co-founder and Architect at Diff-Tech, where he did deep research on content management and search engine design. Based on deep understanding and practice on search engine and data mining Dr. Lu has published the book <Principle, Practice and Application of Search Engine> in 2006. Dr. Lu received a Ph.D. degree in 2005 from Southern Methodist University and B.S. in Physics from University of Science and Technology of China in 1996.

From 2007 - 20010 , Lucas Lu was Sr.Director of R&D and Head of Wireless BU of taobao for Alibaba . He was in charge of Taobao.com Search Engine technology and Advertising technology. He also deleveop the distributed file system and fast storage system which be able to storage billions of files, data analysis platform, caching system etc. He built the team and setup the strategy and implementation of wireless BU. He led the BU to provide wireless service and be able to let the 600 million Chinese mobile phone users to use mobile phone access taobao.com.
