EGOS Whedoncon 2017 Highlight Reel with Dr. Horrible Audience Participation
Joss Whedon renowned creator of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Firefly, Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog
and many more was the subject of this annual convention in Woodland Hills California.
In it's second year and growing Whedoncon is host to myriad panels, special screenings and geeky vendors. Cosplayers were in attendance as well as guest speakers involved with the shows Joss created.

Oops, that didn't go well.
Neat, never knew he threw a convention. Can't wait for him taking over Justice League from Snyder, wish it wasn't under the circumstances it happened though.
It's not exactly thrown by Joss Whedon. It's a fan production really. Even so a number of related talent, writers, stunt-coordinators were there to give presentations. Also some charity fundraising there.
Agreed that the circumstances of the Justice League hand off are awful. I feel terrible for Snyder and what he and his family must be enduring now.

Definitely fun to get in, on the ground floor, as it were. Joss has such an incredible fan base, I have a feeling this Con is only going to get bigger. It definitely wasn't bad for it only being its second year, and I am kind of excited to be able to watch it grow from its infancy, into something huge. Then I can be one of those, "I was coming here before it was cool," assholes.
This post is on course to more than pay for my couple of Firefly tee shirts I picked up at the con. Geek's gotta have geeky stuff to wear. Thank you for your upvotes and keeping me clothed...

Sorry for the late reply. I'm thinking of going again this year. It's not a huge event but it was very fun. It appears to be growing.
