"It is not an accident that the effect of these problems is the loss our individuality, our creativity, and our ability to question." This line makes me think of the following Milton passage:

The hungry sheep look up, and are not fed,
But swollen with wind and the rank mist they draw,
Rot inwardly, and foul contagion spread ... 

And yes...how hungry the sheep are....the sophistry, propaganda, and rhetoric of today's education doesn't seem to feed existential mind.

Thanks and I like your reading of those lines.

Milton really was brilliant. His prose works are a pain to read but there is a lot of value there too. He wrote about education specifically I would have quoted from that work here if I had a little more time to write. I may come back to the topic at some point.
