RE: Religion

I have given you a vote; it seems that you really need one.

I used to run a blog on religion, but I gave it up. I had one or two unique visits per day, but people wouldn't send me donations, and wouldn't interact with me.

I came to Steemit to add a new dimension of monetization to my blog, and I did receive a cent or two sometimes, but it wasn't worth it. One time I even wanted to create a separate blog, just for software development, but the money I paid for it was locked for several weeks, and I eventually got a refund. (You can find my story of it in my blog on Steemit).

I figured out that I would only run a professional blog on GitHub, and I would be over with religion until further notice. I may write a religious Android app later, and then maybe return to religious activism.

Currently I read a religious book 'The Golden Bough' by James Frazer (the longer version) on my mobile phone.

Religion gives people different set of rules they may follow, for example Sikhs organize public vegetarian meals, Hare Krishnas organize music and dance festivals. I also found out that in religious environments it is easier to find a whole community that doesn't smoke cigarettes at all, or organize a series or events where really nobody drinks alcohol. I used to try to join some communities based on anarchism rather than religion, but I would be often exposed to harmful smoke and alcohol; therefore religion appeals to me more than anarchy.

I wonder what your interest in religion is. I've seen in your blog an image of your friends and yourself at a party. Was it a religious ceremony?
