Sometimes, asking the writerscommunity on Twitter is a huge resource too - I was asking yesterday whether heart rate goes up or down when a victim has received a mortal wound. The answer was that it goes up initially as the body goes into repair mode. But eventually it goes down as the body gives up.

Actually, I was surprised at the 45 minutes travel time for a very active sperm. It's not a great number to use when trying to conceive, so most of the information sides with 9-12 hours, but for purpose of my writing, the 45 minutes is a more useful number.
