DIY Graduation Flower Bouquet

My dear fellow Steemians, my daughter graduated from primary school last year. I made a special DIY flower bouquet for her graduation day.

I actually have no experience in flower arrangement but I like to see nice flowers. Flower arranging is easy, right? Just get some beautiful flowers, put them in a fancy wrapping paper and Ta-Da!

Of course, talking is easy and flowers are gorgeous, but in my opinion, it’s important to gift my daughter a bouquet of flowers that comes from the heart and not just fancy flowers like the one you can buy from the florist shop. One of my friend told me that there will be bouquets of flowers sell outside the hall where the graduation will be held but, the price could be up to MYR100.00. This to me is extremely quite expensive!

So, to make it more special and of course save budget, I made a 'do it yourself' flower bouquet a week earlier.

To start with, I went to a local store, Kaison to buy pink roses and small flowers that can matched to it. I also thought it would be 'something different' if I put some chocolates and teddy bear to it. Lastly, I bought some fancy wrapping papers and ribbons.

I took picture and sent it to @kilathecla and she commented that its kind of dull, maybe I should mixed the pink roses with some red one. The next day, I went to Kaison again and bought some red roses.

So here's the finished product. Not really perfectly arranged but well..it comes from the heart.

How did I DIY it?

Here’s what you need :

• A bunch (around 5-7) of your red and pink roses.
• A bunch of a small flowers to help take up space and accent your focal flower.
• A bunch of greenery.

Tools needed:

• Fancy Plastic Wraps
• Fancy wrapping Papers
• A Rubber Band
• ribbons
• small sticks
• cellotape
• some chocolates

I used this video from Youtube by Rosa Ramalho to learn how to do it. Its very simple and easy to follow.

She told me that, some of her friend asked where did she bought that special bouquet.

After the photo sessions, she gave the flower bouquet back to me. I asked why and she answered, her friends want to take the chocholates! LOL
