More proof that throwing money at problems doesn't work
We all want the best for our kids. We all know that education is key to that desire. Its becoming more clear however, that every day the state is increasingly incapable of even giving our young the most basic skills. While our collective conscience may be at ease since its our money they are throwing at the failing education system, we need to look again at why we continue to burn money by the truck load. While in many cities we turn out graduates who are utter morons if they even graduate at all. This article from Zero hedge goes over these and a few other unsettling findings. The schooling system in many countries is flawed. Homeschooling is becoming popular in many places around the world for that reason. I like the idea of a more personal touch in teaching.
