The Art Of Socializing

Humans never seize to learn. That is the fundamental part of our nature. Through learning it becomes possible to interact with one another on intellectual level. That's what differentiates us from animals, we go beyond our instincts. We have created a group thanks to this nature, a society.

The importance of socialization is crucial for individual's development. As i said, humans go beyond instincts and relying only on them is not an option. The integration of one's self in society requires socialization. Coexisting with one another means to learn about their values, norms, etc.

Without socialization we would not have any kind of society or culture. Prerequisite for socialization is social interactions. Let's call ourselves social animals.

Now let's talk about the characteristics socialization. Politics, social subjects and even spiritual connections are part of it. Every human being's every action is not random. It is determined by something else. So when does this socialization start? It starts the moment you are born. Your family's values, beliefs, are bestowed upon you. You start to see the world through the lenses of values and beliefs. The interesting part is, how these values and beliefs are filtered. Every individual has different interpretation and that is what makes us unique. Isn't is ironic? Every one is unique but we are not unique in that aspect. Everyone has that same characteristic of being unique.

There is an interesting question. Are we truly free and not bound by anything? The concept of freedom is learned through socialization. We were given those norms and live by it and that means that we can't think beyond them. So one may say that we are not truly free.

Education is one of the most important stages of socialization. School is the first place where you start to see the diversity of the world. This is the part where you start to really communicate. You learn about new set of values and beliefs and choose which of the suits you the most. After that you become part of the group and become a true social animal.

Also socialization is what brings social order in our life. The similarities of the way our mind works, is the fundamental reason we can live with each other. But it also may be the reason for conflicts. The differences in our values are sparks to conflicts.

So to summarize, Socialization is very crucial part or human society. Without it, there wouldn't be society nor culture.
