4 BASIC Blackjack Tips
Hello guys,
about a year ago I got interested in blackjack and especially in card-counting.
So here are 4 Tips on how to increase your chances to win more often and on how to stay in control of the game.
Number 1: Do not drink while, or before playing.
It is important that you can always focus on the game and if you are drunk you will do some pretty stupid stuff, which can cost you a lot of money. If you want to have a drink, have it after you have finished. It's a great way to celebrate your winnings.
Number 2: Only play with money, you can afford to lose.
This tip should be pretty self-explaining. Don't use the money, that you need to pay stuff like rent and bills, it could ruin your life. Set a fixed limit of how much money you can afford to use for blackjack, for example, 25$ per month. This reduces the risk of losing to much money.
Number 3: ALWAYS split Aces and 8s, NEVER split 10s
Number 4: Learn Basic Strategy

Shown here is a Basic Strategy Card for a six deck shoe. I chose this one, because six deck games are the most common ones.
It's good to learn because, it is one of the easiest ways, to decrease the edge of the casino.
Basic Strategy is based on maths and does not guarantee any winnings.
Thanks for reading and good luck at the tables!

Great tips! I'd like to add a few more thoughts that can further enhance your blackjack gameplay. One important aspect to understand is the concept of insurance in blackjack. Insurance is a side bet that the dealer has a blackjack, which can be a bit risky. Knowing when to take insurance is crucial for maintaining your edge in the game. For a deeper understanding of how does insurance in blackjack work and when it might be beneficial, check out this detailed article. Additionally, always remember to manage your bankroll effectively. It's essential to set a budget and stick to it, ensuring that you only play with money you can afford to lose. This helps you avoid the pitfalls of chasing losses and keeps the game enjoyable. Learning and applying basic strategy, as you mentioned, is a fundamental step in reducing the house edge. The strategy is mathematically proven and offers the best possible play in any given situation. Pairing this with card counting, if you're playing in a game that allows it, can further increase your chances of winning.
