Educate Your Child!!!

The other day, while I was on the bus, coming back from work, in front of me there were 3 girls of an age between thirteen and sixteen.
At a certain point those girls started playing their music loud on their phone and started to sing.
Now, I'm nobody to judge if that music was nice or ugly because everybody is free to listen to whatever kind of music.
The problem was that they were playing that music on a bus where there are a lot of other people and I don't see no reason why they should be forced to listen to that music.
So I decided to go closer to those girls and tell them that if they wanted to listen to their music, maybe should put some headphones on because when you are somewhere with other people around you have to act properly.
Their answer:
"What's wrong with listening to some nice music? We like it, if the others don't, why can't they put some headphones on and listen to what they like?"
To that answer I had no words, they stopped the music, but the real problem is that in their vision they were not doing anything wrong, and I was just breaking the balls.
As I could see this was not something that happens once in a while, but based on their answer, this was something normal and there was nothing wrong with playing loud music and singing while in the bus.
I've noticed that was not only them thinking that way, but the majority of the people of an age between twelve and seventeen.

Who is to blame for that behavior of the majority of teenagers?

In my humble opinion that behavior that those kids have is not completely because of them, actually only 30% is their fault, the other 70% of the fault should go on:

  • Their parents:

Our parents are the ones responsible for our behavior.
It was pretty obvious that those girls didn't receive a proper education from their parents.
Unfortunately, this happens very often, because the parents are occupied with their job for the big part of the day, and when they come home, they prepare something to eat and then go to watch some television.
On holydays they choose to go to the mall and buy those children what they want, without understanding that a child needs love and to be educated, not material things.
Even if material things will make him happy, he will not get educated by himself.
So you are not helping your son by buying him whatever he wants, actually you are destroying him by doing that.

  • Their friends:

The friends that you spend your **time with, have a big influence on who you will become.
Those guys, maybe when taken one by one will act differently than how they act when they are together. When they are together they tend to act in a certain way to impress their friends, without understanding that this is wrong.

If we don't change, We are going to live in a word like the one described in the moovie "Idiocracy"

For those of you that have not seen this movie yet, I suggest you go take a look at it, in order to understand better where we are going as a human race.
In this movie our main characters, after taking part in an experiment, wake up in the year 2505.
In that future they find out that the human race is having a very low IQ and they are putting at risk their survival as a species.
This lowering of the IQ happened because, the smart people will think twice before making a children cause they want to be sure that they are ready to give that child a proper education and a good quality of life, so they end up having 1 2 or 0 children because they are too old when they are ready for a child.
The people with a low IQ instead were making 5 6 children and educated them as they could.

We can say that this thing is already happening nowadays, and we can see that the majority of young guys are making children without thinking if they are ready for them or not, or if they can educate these children.

Conclusions

  • Educate your children and spend more time with them.
  • We need to realize that a son doesn't really need an iPhone, he needs love and education.
  • We all live in this world, and if we want to keep being there or maybe live a better live, we need to understand that change starts with us.
  • Educate the ones around you, when you see some young guys disrespecting somebody, try to make them understand what are they doing wrong.
  • When you see somebody throwing something on the ground, make them understand that what they do is wrong,
  • To punish somebody is useless, it won't make them change the way they act.
  • The only way to improve things, is make people understand what they are doing wrong, so they won't do it again.

Let me know what you think about education in the comments
I've also made an italian version of this post here

I agree with you in regards to your general idea. I'm not sure if the parents are at fault here though. They are old enough to think for themselves. They're just egocentric cunts.

I like to think that I didn't receive the best education, yet, I'm very obsessive with unpleasing others in public spaces. At some point the idea "Don't do onto others what you don't want others to do onto you" just clicked, noone had to tell me about it.

Other behaviour that irritates me is trying to get in the train without waiting for people to leave it first.

At the age of thirteen they are not able to think for themselves yet.

It's all about respect. Learn to respect yourself and then will be able to respect everything around you . People and matter. Parents have the responsibility to pass this principle to their kids but they can do it until child goes to school. In a period of 6 years they must have put the foundations for their child's behavior and view. Then child goes to school where it learns to be competitive and stand an 8 hour classroom , more or less. Why is this happening in school? Is it preparing them to be competitive in their profession and can stand up of an at least 8 hour job? I say , YES ! Very good article. I follow and resteem.

Thank you @Giosou, i'm happy you liked it.

I think family education is important as it is in school!
