When the Use of Emoji's Goes too Far!

A Science teacher in Miami, USA, has been banned for 10 years for sending the above emoji's to a 17 year old student he was teaching. According to reports, he told the boy:

“I’ll give you the B if you give me the D”.
“Convince me (wink emoji)”, he wrote before adding “You want the B, What about me?”.

The teacher then told the boy “I should f**k that booty” after sending an eggplant emoji and peach (which symbolises a penis and bottom).

The behaviour of some people in the teaching profession is just plain disgusting. Teachers are in trusted positions and need to ensure they know the boundaries between teacher and student. Teachers are not there to be the friend of students, they are there to provide an educational service. It is important that teachers build a repoire with their students, but they have to make sure that they do not cross the line of professionalism and blur that teacher student relationship.
