Heliocentrism was born in antiquity with the proposal of Aristarchus of Samos to say that the Earth revolves around the Sun. This was not heard and his theories were never accepted. Not until the Renaissance when Nicolaus Copernicus proposed this theory again and Kepler and Galileo reinforced it, achieving a paradigm shift in the scientific vision that continues to this day.
Since then, some believe that the earth is round and that it revolves around the Sun. Well, almost everyone.
The horizon always looks flat see it from where you look, either from space or from the earth. Those who believe that the earth is flat assure that the slight curvature that is in images of NASA is a crude manipulation.
Antarctica are walls of ice that surround the entire Earth. According to these theories, the south pole does not exist, only a north magnetic pole in the center of the Earth.
Also they assure according to trigonometric reasonings that if the Earth were a sphere it would be impossible to contemplate according to which landscapes to more than 600 meters, for that reason, they assure that it is flat, because landscapes can be seen more than 100 kilometers away.
They say that the planes, if the earth were in motion, would vary their flight times in each trip given that they would go for or against the terrestrial rotation proposed by the heliocentric theory that many scientists like Michelson-Morley, Sagnac, Tomaschek or Biddell Airy have denied after experimenting and, according to them, prove, that the Earth is not in motion.
They also argue that the sea and the waters of the earth at rest always form a horizontal plane, in a spherical and rotating earth these properties would not make sense.
The polar star always maintains the same position just above the North Pole. In the same way it happens with the constellations, if the earth were rotating and orbiting through space next to the solar system, the constellations would have changed throughout history. In addition, if the Earth were in rotation, the perfect circles that form the "startrails" around the polar star would not appear in the nighttime photograph.
They say that if the earth were spherical we could see the two sides of the Moon, but that does not happen. We always see the same side of the moon, this would prove that the earth is flat.
This is the main argument of those who maintain that the Earth is flat and completely reject the heliocentric postulates ... It is necessary to give details of why all these arguments are wrong, it is not necessary to be a luminary to understand the basic error that everyone commits. In any case, this theory confirms once again the human need to take refuge in conspiratorial lands, even if these are true lies.
