VBS Recognition Day

After spending a week as God's student in Vacation Bible School, children are already receiving their gift and prices as a reward for listening, participating and living as God's good pupil. VBS commenced last monday with the theme Jerusalem : Back to the Holy land with the verse in 1 Samuel 12:24 "Remember the great things he has done for you" and each day, they had discussions to learn and soveneirs to hold on.

Day 1 : Soveneir of Praise

Day 2 : Soveneir of Courage

Day 3 : Soveneir of Strength

Day 4 : Soveneir of Love

Day 5 : Soveneir of Hope

Children are group into four categories sorted to their ages. For 2-6 years old, they are classified as beginners and for ages 7-9, they are called the nomads and for ages 10-12 tgey are named as migrants while ages above are the youth. They had their respective teachers assign to them. Thanks God for pouring out such teachers in our church.

The bible school last long for five days for learning and doing activities and a day for practicing their presentation and today for the recognition day. For the recognition day, it composes the summaries, learning insight, giving of certificate, awarding for honors and graduate student and of course the giving of school supplies for the children. They had they're rule that for every absent, two notebooks will be deducted for the total of 10 notebooks for every pupil. The recognition day started by giving insights and recaps for their discussion by selected student. After that, the awarding and giving their prices and the last for their presentation.

It was a warm feeling for me seeing those children dancing and singing joyfully with their prices on their hand. I myself was a product of VBS and I can't still believe that I am no longer a part of it. I actually missing to learn more about God's word and stories in the bible. Here at VBS we are given an opportunity to learn, speak and express our feelings by doing some activities and presentation. We are not doing this just for ourselves but, we are doing this for the glory of God. I am also blessed looking some parents actually supporting their children and seeing them smiling with gratitude to their hearts.

All in all we, the Apostolic Church of the Lord Jesus Christ are really blessed having to help and reach out children willing to learn about God and his word and sharing us their stories.
