Exactly - Let the people pick the "Poisons / Meds" that they want to ingest and stop pretending that they ban certain substances for the better of the people. If Joe wants to do Crack/Cocaine - sell it to him and let him deal with the consequences use the money that's currently being used to fund the war on drugs on education/rehabilitation and I'm sure the amount of users would decline - this system currently works in Portugal.
But this post was more on the history of medicine that helped pave the way to a better tomorrow. We'll save the debate on Legalization for another day :)
