Types

1)Democratic Style

Democratic style of leadership is in which the manager implements a decentralized structure on decision making. The manager deals in two way communication so that ideas could be shared between all workers and manager.Ultimately decisions are based on the whole team.

2)Autocratic style

Autocratic style of leadership is where the manager gives all the instructions and expects the workers to implement them axactly added commanded. There is one way communication involved in autocratic style of leadership hence it stands on a centralized system.

3) Laissez-faire

In this style of leadership the manager gives the desired goals to its workers and they are given total freedom on how to achieve those targets. So decisions are solely made by the workers without any intervention of the managers.

Sort:

I've always preferred the democratic style

Thus the difference between a leader and a manager is obvious, a leader tells you what to do (the ends), a managers tells you what to do and how to do it (his means to the ends).
