The NOT-SO Magic House in Saint Louis - More Like An EDUCATION Center

Magichousetitla.jpg

The Magic House in Saint Louis is a giant home that was over the years converted into a fun house for kids and adults! We are currently in the city to visit my parents and we wanted to take the opportunity to visit some different locations for the kids.

It's officially called the "Magic House" but it's more like a science and education learning center. The buildings are full of different science experiments and hands on learning opportunities for all ages.

There are mazes, slides, lessons in math, biology, physics, and even a replica of The Oval Office!

When you first enter, you are greeted with a number of odd musical instruments that you can play.

The Beanstalk
Kids can climb a four story bean stalk!

This pressurized air tube was one of the funnest attractions the kids enjoyed. Different colored soft balls are placed in holes and then travel through the maze of pipes and exit in different locations based on the valves the kids open and close.

Different projects and learning stations are placed all over the building. This one teaches about developing patterns.

Here Grandpa and Kaleb are putting together some puzzle pieces in the nature center.

One of their favorite projects in the Magic House was the Bubble Room where all sorts of devices are available for making different sized blowing bubbles. Kaleb had a blast with this one.

The boys had a great time pretending to be president for 5 minutes with the Oval Office Room. Kaleb is ordering air strikes on Youtube.

They even have a full size court room. Judge Joshua is ordering Facebook to pay fines for leaking private user information without permission.

We had a fun time watching the kids enjoy all different kinds of learning experiences. If you ever pass through Saint Louis, be sure to stop by the Magic House and check it out.

We typically drive though St. Louis each year to visit family. We have been taking the kids to the City Museum, has similiar stuff. Kids can climb through the ceiling (parents too if you can fit and don't mind really tight spots). Slides, indoor skate park to run on, lots of cool things. geared more towards physical activities vs science.

We will have to add the Magic House to our list of places to visit this summer!

We have been to the City Museum. It's a really fun place.

This looks like an awesome place for the kid in all of us! I'd love to climb the giant beanstalk! I am glad that are places like this for kids to have hands-on experiences that may not otherwise have.

It was a fun visit. Today, we are headed to the Arch.

LOts of free stuff to do in STL. The zoo is free. Science center is free. The anheiser Busch brewery tour is free and you get 2 free drinks at the end! You may know this already. But thought I would pass it along. We used to live right across the river in IL.

Yeah, I lived here my whole life and never went on a brewery tour. LOL

What part did you live in @mericanhomestead? I grew up in Creve Coeur

South county near Suson Park. I grew up playing on the Meramec River.

The Magic House is the best! You should also check out the City Museum. It's really fun for all ages and also can be educational.

Yep, love the city museum. Lots of fun. We did that a few years ago.

That looks like an awesome place! What kind of prices to spend the day there?

It's not too bad. $11 per person. Under age 1 is free. Eating prices are not too bad.

That sounds super cheap!

Looks like a lot of fun for kids & parents(adults gotta feel like a kid sometimes too!) I never realized how large the Oval Office desk is. I suppose you need room to read everything before you sign it, right?! Lol

I read once that there is a trap door under the President's desk, if he needs to make a quick escape. It's on the internet so it must be true. :-)

@ironshield

It has to be true if it's on the internet.

LOL, that's about right.

I have visited the City Museum before, that was fun!

Lol Looks Fun Boys!! And I'll Vote For The Bill On About Facebook!!

Haha, looks like a fun trip!!
