Festive, Mother of Aceh PAUD Launches Gernas Baku

Banda Aceh - The launching of the National Movement of Parents Reading Book or abbreviated Gernas Baku in Aceh was lively. Mother of Early Childhood Education (PAUD) Aceh, Darwati A Gani, accompanied by the Vice Mother of PAUD Aceh, Dyah Erti Idawati and Chairman of Darma Wanita Persatuan Aceh, Syamsiarni, directly plunge into a number of PAUD in Banda Aceh and Aceh Besar.

After attending and launching the Gernas Baku in PAUD Salsabila, which is located in Banda Aceh Mayor's office complex, Darwati A Gani and Dyah Erti Idawati visited several PAUDs with different teams.

Darwati together with the Chairman of DWP Aceh and Nurmiaty AR as Mother of Early Childhood of Banda Aceh City, visited and launched Gernas Baku program in TK Negeri 2 Banda Aceh City and representatives of PAUD in Darul Imarah Sub-district, in Darul Imarah Head Office Hall. At this location, Darwati and entourage were also welcomed by Mother of PAUD Aceh Besar, Rahmah.

Meanwhile, Dyah Erti toward PAUD Permata Lampulo and Mina Islamic integrated school. After doing the activities in the two early childhood, Dyah Erti gathered again with Darwati A Gani in Lampuuk Beach to launch Gernas Baku, along with PAUD Pertiwi.

In his speech, Darwati who is also Bunda Baca Aceh reminded the parents to foster interest in reading in children.

"Millennial parents tend to take instant steps to silence their children's whining, by giving them gifts and letting them engross themselves unattended, whereas our parents in the past have set an example by preparing time to guide us," Darwati said.

According Darwati, technological progress brings a big change in human life. He likes life now like two sides of a coin.

"Like two sides of the coin, in addition to bringing positive impacts, technological advances are also bringing negative impacts and, most affected by the negative impact of this technology is the younger generation," said Darwati.

Darwati advised parents to play an important role in creating a family environment that is conducive to the development and growth of children.

"If the child, especially at an early age, has been introduced to the gadget, then it is feared the process of mental development and growth will be disrupted."

Darwati reminded, early age is a golden period where children will be very easy to absorb information or knowledge of the environment. According to him the formation of children's character has also started since early childhood.

"This is a time when children are in need of quality time from their parents, so it would be a pity if the age runs out in front of the device, whether by watching youtube, playing games and so on.Therefore, the government launched Gernas Baku," Darwati.

The launch of Gernas Baku aims to foster reading interest in children, improve communication skills, convey ideas of children, improve the soul of imagination, thinking power of children, strengthen the emotional social relationships of parents and children and increase curiosity.

Darwati said, growing interest in reading in children is more important than children quickly read. It is based on a great curiosity, which ultimately spurs the child quickly read. To increase the interest and curiosity of children, it is necessary parenting assistance through storytelling activities and read books to children.

"The habits of our parents in the past who are so diligent in teaching the Qur'an to their children should be encouraged again to millennial mothers." "Make the time of the Maghrib as a family time or in terms of current trends is quality time."

"As parents, we are certainly required to hone skills and knowledge to bring a comfortable atmosphere for children by reading books, so slowly, dependence on devices can be left behind, and our children prefer books from tablets or hp," says Darwati again.

At the end of his speech, Darwati invites parents to make reading culture an important factor in daily activity list. "With the spirit of reading, the children will participate eager to read," said the mother of Aceh early childhood.

Darwati had read a few stories in PAUD Negeri 2 Kota Banda Aceh. The students looked enthusiastically listening to the brief tale of the Aceh Reading Mother. While in Sub Darul Imarah, Darwati had the opportunity to see the action and creativity of the early childhood students and to sing the mars of Gernas Baku together
