Below you can see some insect photos which I took in our garden. On top of some of them you find questions concerning the classification of these arthropods.
The first one who gives me the correct answers of all questions will receive 5 SBD!

Hm ... Heteroptera is a suborder, isn't it? :-)
Curses. Yes. Should have been Hemiptera!
I'd literally just been looking these guys up as have been taking some pictures of early instars that I was struggling to id.
What do you think of this little fella? Coreus marginatus or syromastes rhombeus I think..........Whatever they're super cool bugs :)
Hm ... that's still a nymph ... thus the species is not easy to determine. I could forward the picture to a specialist though ...
Thanks, that would be lovely......don't want to waste their time with my perfectionist labelling though so only if you think it wouldn't bother them and just be a quick query. I don't neeeed to know the species - it's just nice to!
The person I mean is specialized in Heteroptera. If you have more photos of this suborder then let me know (I better send him a few pictures all at once than many e-mails with one single picture). However it is not always easy to determine a species by watching a photo only ...
Yes, especially when these guys are so tricky to photograph. Really I feel it's a bit of a trivial query to bother someone with and I don't want to put you out. I'm fine with getting it down to family:) Here's my other picture - though another contact seems pretty sure this one is Coreus marginatus.

Rather good, but not everything is correct. :)
Ich muss ehrlich sagen, die Namen der Insekte kenn ich nicht, aber die Fotos find ich klasse.
Meine Mama hat selber Bienen und einen tollen Wildgarten , da fühlt ich mich bei deinem Post direkt heimisch <3
