Good post. Haha kidding. I must concur that answering comments, all comments when you're new, is paramount to building a following.

When people don't get a response, they're not too likely to try again. Someone else will gain their attention instead.

This is the same when running a website. Comments are a huge benefit, a chance to offer help, and it all counts as more content. :)
