Iqra' Method, for Learning Koran

TPA Al-Markazul Islami teachers use the Iqra 'method in teaching the Koran, but there are still students who are not fluent in reading the Koran properly and correctly according to the knowledge of recitation. TPA Al-Markazul Islami teachers play a role in improving the students' ability to read the Koran, but the motivation of students to read the Koran is still low, and there are even some students who cannot read the Koran correctly. Based on the background of the problem above, the question of this research is how is the application of the Iqra 'method at TPA Al-Markazul Islami? What is the role of Islamic religious education teachers in improving the ability to read the Koran for students? What are the supporting and inhibiting factors for Islamic religious education teachers in improving the students' ability to read the Koran? This study aims to determine the application of the Iqra 'method at TPA Al-Markazul Islami, the role of Islamic religious education teachers in improving the students' ability to read the Koran, and the supporting and inhibiting factors for Islamic religious education teachers in improving the students' ability to read the Koran.

The results showed: The steps for implementing the Iqra method at TPA Al-Markazul Islami are instruction and correction of Iqra 'reading, listening to the Iqra readings one by one (Face to Face), peer tutors in reading Iqra' and teaching the Iqra 'book accompanied by practical tajwid. The role of the teacher in improving the students' ability to read the Koran at TPA Al-Markazul Islami includes; the teacher as an educator, the teacher as a teacher, the teacher as a guide, the teacher as an assessor and the teacher builds interactions with the guardians of the students. Support from inside and outside TPA Al-Markazul Islami for teachers in improving students' ability to read the Koran is that TPA administrators continuously upgrade teacher skills, TPA administrators provide learning media for teachers, TPA academies make briefings before teachers enter classes, teachers compare TPA Al-Markazul Islami with other TPAs and the support provided by the community so that the students at TPA Al-Markazul Islami are great and have quality. Whereas the inhibiting factor from inside and outside TPA Al-Markazul Islami is the place of study in mosques such as public places so that it curates the concentration of students and there are teachers who lack self-confidence, it is difficult for students to read the Koran due to lack of parental attention, and many students come late because both parents work a lot.
