Learning and Earning week 8
My eighth week of @matkodurko's What did I learn yesterday? challenge, based on an idea by Tim Ferriss ('Tools of Titans' book).
Busy busy busy! New job; lots to do; not looking at Steem much at all, unfortunately. Will try to get some balance over the next few weeks.
- Monday 11 - A Wordpress image crunching plugin called Smush. Reduces the file size of images nicely, but lacks options.
- Tuesday 12 - Some really interesting stuff about video game design at the Victoria & Albert Museum
- Wednesday - Friday - New job = new software - cinema distribution scheduling. Three days of reading and exploring.
- Saturday 16 - Trollfest. Norwegian folk metal wearing princess dresses at HRH Metal. Not so much educational as mind-boggling. Will elaborate in A Shirt on Sunday next month
- Sunday 17 - Don't eat at Jimmy Spice's in Birmingham unless you want to spend the night on the toilet.
Congratz to the new job! What exactly is image crunching btw? Man haha I was doing my first ever enema on Sunday so don't worry, we were both on the toilet :D Thx for entry!
Thanks! Image crunching is just reducing the file size - fewer pixels per side, mainly. I don’t think it changes the file format. Crunching as in crunching a piece of paper into a ball.

Congrats on job.
Cool on the Vic & Al. I should see if one of my sons plans to go to that exhibit.
Hahaha on the mind-boggling vikings. :-)
Oh dear - re. Sunday night...
Thanks! The V&A exhibition had lots of playable games too. But weird ones like the 2-D shooter in a rope of lights.
