What Is Civil Engineering
Formerly the engineer profession was made for the military to build defense fortresses, military posts, roads, bridges, support buildings for the battlefield. And when the war ends the engineers are re-assigned to build the city devastated by the war, and set the city for life together. Over time, the profession of civil engineers or civil engineering began to separate from the military.
The term Civil Engineer originally began to be known by John Smeaton, a British citizen who has built many building structures such as Eddystone Lighthouse built in 1756.
Based on ancient medieval history, the design of construction and architecture is also done by artists, be it masons, carpenters, and others. The approach of physics and mathematics in civil engineering is the principle of Archimedes in the 3rd century BC. And Brahmagupta is an Indian mathematician who used arithmetic in the 7th century to perform a volume excavation calculation.
Structure
Structure is a branch of civil engineering science that studies the structural problems of construction used in buildings. By studying this field we can further explore the structural design of a construction work with more depth.
Geotechnical
Geotechnical is a branch of science in civil engineering that studies the structure of soil, nature, soil type, used as construction material and soil that serves to sustain a building on it. In the field of geotechnical we learn more which is an investigation of land conditions in the field and laboratory investigation that is useful as a guideline for the construction planning of a building.
Hydrology
Hydrology is a branch of science in civil engineering that studies water, construction of water buildings. In the field of hydrology we learn more hydrolic pronsip and water building planning better.
Transportation
Transportation is a branch of civil engineering that studies the arrangement of transportation systems. In this area of transportation include road construction, traffic arrangement, airport construction, terminal, station and related to transportation management.
Construction Management
Construction Management is a branch of civil engineering that studies management principles on construction projects such as job costs, job scheduling, payback, project costs, administration in field work with the goal of timely job completion.
Environmental Science
Environmental Engineering is the science that regulates Water. Whether it is clean water, Limba water, river pollution, and so on.
Informatics Field of Civil Engineering
Informatics Civil Engineering is the latest branch of civil engineering that studies the application of computer technology to the calculation and modeling of a construction work as well as for building research. In this field, it is expected to understand the modeling of structural and material structures and CAD / Computer Aided Design, environmental modeling with GIS (Geographic Information System) technology, modeling groundwater movement or waste.

I think Civil Engineering has an opportunity in the world of work. This is because any structures that have been created will be damaged and must be repaired, natural factors are also very influential such as earthquakes, floods, tornado which is a natural disaster that resulted in damage to the building structure, thus every day and every time you will always see the development construction, it should all be in line with your efforts to get a job, opportunities in the world of work I can conclude about 50% easy to get it.
Berdasarkan sejarah abad pertengahan kuno, desain konstruksi dan arsitektur juga dilakukan oleh seniman, baik itu tukang batu, tukang kayu, dan lain-lain. Struktur
Struktur adalah cabang ilmu teknik sipil yang mempelajari masalah struktural konstruksi yang digunakan dalam bangunan. Dengan mempelajari bidang ini kita dapat mengeksplorasi lebih jauh desain struktural dari pekerjaan konstruksi dengan lebih mendalam.
Geotechnical
Geoteknik adalah cabang ilmu di bidang teknik sipil yang mempelajari struktur tanah, alam, jenis tanah, yang digunakan sebagai bahan konstruksi dan tanah yang berfungsi untuk menopang bangunan di atasnya. Di bidang geoteknik kita belajar lebih banyak yang merupakan investigasi kondisi tanah di lapangan dan penyelidikan laboratorium yang berguna sebagai pedoman untuk perencanaan konstruksi bangunan.
Hidrologi
Hidrologi adalah cabang ilmu di bidang teknik sipil yang mempelajari air, konstruksi bangunan air. Di bidang hidrologi kita belajar lebih banyak pronsip hidroksik dan perencanaan bangunan air yang lebih baik.
Transportasi/Jalan & Jembatan
Transportasi adalah cabang teknik sipil yang mempelajari pengaturan sistem transportasi. Di bidang transportasi ini termasuk pembangunan jalan, pengaturan lalu lintas, pembangunan bandara, terminal, stasiun dan terkait dengan manajemen transportasi.
Manajemen Konstruksi
Manajemen Konstruksi adalah cabang dari teknik sipil yang mempelajari prinsip-prinsip manajemen pada proyek-proyek konstruksi seperti biaya pekerjaan, penjadwalan pekerjaan, pengembalian, biaya proyek, administrasi di lapangan bekerja dengan tujuan penyelesaian pekerjaan tepat waktu.
Ilmu Lingkungan
Teknik Lingkungan adalah ilmu yang mengatur Air. Baik itu air bersih, air Limba, pencemaran sungai, dan sebagainya.
Teknik Sipil Informatika
Teknik Sipil Informatika adalah cabang terbaru dari teknik sipil yang mempelajari penerapan teknologi komputer untuk perhitungan dan pemodelan pekerjaan konstruksi serta untuk membangun penelitian. Dalam bidang ini, diharapkan untuk memahami pemodelan struktur struktur dan material dan CAD / Computer Aided Design, pemodelan lingkungan dengan teknologi GIS (Geographic Information System), pemodelan gerakan air tanah atau limbah.
Artikel ini saya buat untuk adik-adik yang baru saja lulus dari sekolah menengah dan akan melanjutkan kuliah, serta untuk semua orang yang tidak tahu apa itu Teknik Sipil
Saya pikir Teknik Sipil memiliki peluang di dunia kerja. Ini karena setiap struktur yang telah dibuat akan rusak dan harus diperbaiki, faktor alam juga sangat berpengaruh seperti gempa bumi, banjir, angin puting beliung yang merupakan bencana alam yang mengakibatkan kerusakan pada struktur bangunan, sehingga setiap hari dan setiap waktu Anda akan selalu melihat pembangunan pembangunan, itu semua harus sejalan dengan upaya Anda untuk mendapatkan pekerjaan, peluang di dunia kerja saya dapat menyimpulkan sekitar 50% mudah mendapatkannya.
