The game has an interval of ten minutes. At the end of the first half each team changes its side. The party scoring more gools than the other party wins the game. There are some hard and fast rules for conducting the game. The players abide by the rules. They show respect to the decision of the referee.

There are many merits of playing football. First of all it makes a man strong, healthy and wealthy. It teaches us moral qualities and virtues and it makes as dutiful, prompt etc. Football has some demerits too. It often leads to quarrels between the players. Students waste their time by watching the game etc. Sometimes there are some risks of injury in the football game. In spite of the few demerits, football is my favorite game.
