Sigismund(later changed to Sigmund) was born on 6th May 1856 in Freiburg , Moravia (now pribor is the czech republic ). His father was a merchant . The family moved to Leipzig and then settled in Vienna , were fraud was educated. Freud family was Jewish but he was himself non- practicing
Sigmund freud was know as the father of psychoanalysis and his generally recognized as one of the most influential and authoritative thinkers of the twentieth century.

There are two major factors protecting Human health to love one's job and to love one's life

In 1872 Sigmund freud began to study medicine at the university of Vienna. after graduating , he worked at the Vienna general hospital . He collaborated with Joseph breuser in treating
Mehysteria by the recall of painful experience under hypnosis , in 1885 , Freud went to Paris as a student of neurologist jeanscharcot on his return to Vienna the following year , Freud setup in private practice, specializing in nervous and brain disorders . The same year he married Martha Bernays with whom he had six children
Freud developed the theory that humans have an unconscious in which sexual and aggressive impluses are perpetual in conflict for supremacy with the defense against them. In 1897 he began an intensive analysis on himself . In 1900, his major work the interpretation of dreams as Sigmund said

Dreams are the royal road to the unconscious

was published in which Freud analysed dreams in terms of unconscious desires and experiences
In 1902 feud was appointed professor of neuropathology at the university of Vienna, a post he held till 1938 . Although the medical establishment disagreed with many of his theories,a group of pupils and follower's began to gather around freud in 1910 the international psychoanalytic association was founded with Carl Jung a close associate of freud as the president , jung later broke with Freud and developed his own theories.

After world war one freud spent less time in clinical observation and concentrated on the application of his theories to art, history, literature and anthropology in 1923 he published The ego and the IDwhich suggested a new structural model of the mind, divided into the id,ego and super ego

Freud's work is preserved in a 23 volume set called the standard edition of the complete psychological works of Sigmund freud. Some of freud most interesting works are the interpretation of dreams , his own favorite , the psychopathology of every day Life about Freudian slip and other day- to - day oddities. All are part of the standard edition but all are available as separate paper pack as well . This renowned man died of cancer of the mouth and jaw that he had been suffering since 20 years of his life
