That is the cycle of the Educational System in great part of the world, generally speaking, and at the same time a very good way to define it, it's a system that is based on making students "learn" only by memorization or mechanization, in the case of Practical subjects, It's a system that forgot to update itself, that seems to be created "on purpose" to make the simple, complicated and the interesting, boring, a system that is based solely on teaching people through memorization or mechanization in the Today's world is almost a crime, a total negligence. We'll talk about it.

When we talk about the educational system, we refer to the structure where education is going to be organized in a nation, with the objective that people obtain a decent education that will help them in the personal, social and professional field as throughout their lives. It sounds very good, but it has a big flaw that is that it only teaches you a tool, Memorize. It is simple, the teacher explains a particular topic, the student must study what the teacher gave in class, then he is subjected to a test where he has to capture what he memorized of the topic and based on how similar it is to what he wrote in the exam he gets a grade. Who does the system reward?, the one who memorizes better, who is not always the most intelligent, besides this does not teach you to memorize, it asks you to memorize, this means that many people can not learn to learn, the system in general does not teach you the tools and strategies of study, including memorization. I do not want you to misunderstand me, memorization is a super useful skill that needs to be developed, but that such an important system is based only on this leaves much to be desired.

But one moment... How do you memorize the practical subjects?.

Well, in the subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics something similar happens, here we "mechanize". Mechanization is a variant of memorization, this happens when we practice the exercises that the teacher solved in classes, usually, the same exercises are done over and over again, to the point where we memorize how to do them, that is, we mechanize them, this what it does is that we can solve some exercises in particular, in other words it makes you a robot that as soon as you see an exercise a little more complex or different from those you practiced you will literally have no idea how solve it correctly and always make an error, exactly as a robot would when a problem which is not programmed to solve arises. Of course, you can be smart and simply learn what you are doing and why, so that you can solve practically any problem that the teacher can put in the exam, but the point is that the system does not teach you to doing this, because of this, it is very common to find people who say they hate mathematics, for example, since the process of mechanization is a torture that requires a lot of time and stresses a lot.

Literally, we have all human knowledge at our fingers. The system does not help to develop critical thinking, does not teach basic economic or political things, does not teach to consult, to be creative, to be ingenious or to solve problems, this can not be done by a machine and yet they only teach us to do things that a machine could do much better and more efficiently, this is why today being self-taught is something extremely important, not to say vital because the system leaves so much to be desired in general terms. It is sad and it is a change that in my opinion has to be given and that can only be given if the new generation of teachers does something to change it, being dynamic, changing the outdated methodology to one more according to the world in which we live, and It's something that can be done because there are currently teachers that really make you love the subjects and at the time of the evaluations they change the format and at the end they make you feel that you have really learned something.

The system needs to start worrying more about forming people than forming robots that always do the same thing, they must start challenging us to develop and improve our skills, they should start teaching us a bit about art, cinema, psychology, economy, politics, among others to be able to learn to think and make new interests, in short, they must begin to teach us to Learn.
