There is a lot more children need to now going into kindergarten now than when I was a child. But most of it can be taught in a fun way. Shaving cream can used to have them write letters, their names and draw shapes in it. Put it in a zip lock bag and add a little paint and you have added science in the mix and gives them a chance to play with it and it makes it fun for them to.
