Education is free, learn what really matter.

OpenIDEO opened a challenge : how can we better prepare all learners for the need of tomorrow by reimaging higher education ?

200 contributions to the research phase have been post and top ideas will be announce march 10th, 2017.

The main conclusions, for me, are already clear :

• Education is free. There is no longer the need to pay high tuition when the best material is available for free on the internet ; The only thing you need is a computer and a connexion.
• Self-development is an important step. Whatever you practice, QiGong, Yoga, Aïkido or mindfulness, you have to better understand who you are and how you work.
• Learn to collaborate by improving non-violent communication and empathy.
• Set up your own goals and majors. Their is no better way to learn than to try to solve problems of the real life. One of the biggest problem of our society is to produce renewable energy. Learn how to produce renewable energy from open source design and do it.
• Lapis University is the first one where our students are paid from day one instead of paying tuition fees. Register for the Grantcoin basic income.

To start a cursus with Lapis University :

• Enroll by opening a steemit account and replying to this post,
• Post what you want to learn on steemit
• Find partners, other students that want to learn the same things
• Look on the internet for interesting contents and publish a list of courses you have followed
• Set a goal for your group
• Use forum or steemit to ask questions
• Publish your results.
• A group of professional steemians will comment your results and attribute a Lapis University degree depending of your results.
