RE: How rewards may spoil your Steemit. And how to avoid it.

I agree, it is a bit unfortunate that for some, the money side does take over. In the other hand, if you don't play the game a bit, it can be hard to grow and find an audience to listen.

That's true, and there's nothing wrong in rewards and getting paid for good content we create, as long as it doesn't spoil our motivation for keep doing it. It's a matter of happiness :)

It's a bit like us musicians. We are often bad paid because we accept certain jobs for music we really wanted to play... On the opposite, some orchestral musicians after years playing often lose relatedness with music, they don't feel that competent, and they are definitely NOT autonomous so they start playing only for the cash. Motivation declines and they're not happy. That's sad.

Ha, Yes! Good comparison with musicians! I know many who just don't enjoy playing any more, it is really sad, as there are professions that pay more or could have a most lasting impact on society.

Yes, it is sad. Motivation is a complex thing, we artists need to sustain it healthly... Specially if one plays in an orchestra and has little creative activity that makes us more autonomous
