Rahim Uddin's father is missing for 5 months.
Rahim Uddin was one of the students of @SchoolForSDG4 last 1 year. He was so polite in class. His mother was pregnant last year and thus she was not able to keep communication with us well. But Rahim Uddin was still coming to school. Today, he came to school to get a transfer certificate from @SchoolForSDG4 with his grandmother. I asked the reason of shifting school and his grandmother explained their situation. Rahim Uddin and his mother live with his grandmother which is far away from our school. So her grandmother was able to manage an NGO school there.
I met with his father in July 2018 for the first time. I had a cup of tea with him in the slum. He was saying that he left his previous slum due to quarrels. He was nervous and it looked like he didn't want to let everyone know he is living here. The most common reason is the loan repayment issue. It is hard for an old woman to support her daughter and grandchild. I hope he will communicate with them at least. Today, we talked with his new school and also issued a paper so he can take admission in the new school. But his father's care can't be filled by anyone else. I want to be optimistic. Perhaps, it was the last meet with Rahim Uddin. He left school with his grandmother. I feel sorry for them and the newborn small baby. May Allah bless all of them.
