The Citizen Course - What would you teach to prepare students for the future?

So I'm in the real world - now what?

This is a question that many students ask themselves. It's extremely worrying that young people are not prepared for the everyday life that comes with being an adult.

Students have been longing for practical knowledge of the world for a really long time. So why is there no course that teaches the practical ins and outs of the everyday world?

While it may be argued that we don't know exactly what the future holds and how technology progressed, I'd say that there is a lot of common ground in terms of everyday life. It's incredibly important that young people acquire the skills needed to live a less stressful day-to-day life.

Call to Action

I want to bring a course like this to life in my high school in Estonia. It'll be a highly iterative course, taking inspiration from how systems are designed. This means that after a course ends with a set of students, feedback is collected from the students, teachers and adults and used to iterate on the content and presentation of the course. This will be done very actively until a satisfactory state is achieved.

This is where you come in - I want your feedback and ideas before the first iteration of this course, so please leave it in the comments below so I can make this pilot programme as good as possible!
