Are we ready for Future Education?
We are in 2017, technology is progressing day by day, change much of our lives every day, change our habits, our ways of communicating, our ways of thinking, our work, take a quick look back ... from the Industrial revolution, people moved from the countryside to the textile factories, from the textiles of the workshops to the big factories, from the big factories to the offices and today they are moving from the office to their homes. Whenever more of the people who work from the comfort of their homes, with their computers, with their cell phones, more and more works of disappearance and the same time appearing some more novel. The previous was just one example of how we have evolved over time, but if we look closely something has changed very little of its beginnings. Since the beginning of the XXVIII century, educational institutions, places of teaching and learning have been created, which until today are almost in the same form as 3 centuries ago, large classrooms with many students, all sent in a row, stopping when the Teacher enters the classroom, making a greeting and spending a class of an hour more listening, many times, a lot of things that seem to have little importance when they leave the teacher's mouth. The bell rings and everything is happiness, everyone runs to the playground, then another bell and back to the classroom and for 3 centuries are these institutions of education and education. In some countries the technology of logging in these institutions initiating a change of some rather routine things and more attractive haciendas, while in others still looks with great skepticism. Here are some changes you can begin to see in education in these times and their impact:
Digital Classroom:
Internet is allowed for millions of people to connect day by day and not only to chat, to pass tastes of work issues, but also to share learning moments and to carry out an online courses, with people from other countries, what Brings a great cultural Diversity, much sought after in the innovative fields of work and that, undoubtedly in education, in the schools, in the universities could be a great potential.
Last year 58 million students from all over the world enrolled in 700 universities in different online courses. This allows students to exchange thoughts with people from other places in addition to controlling their time, pace and study. In addition, it allows teachers to be able to arrive with their teachings to unexpected places.
Virtual and augmented reality:
They imagine a kind of history about the Second World War, about the Roman Coliseum, being able to be there walking through every corner of 1946 Germany, the Roman Coliseum with its Greco-Roman struggles, feeling that they are there and the teacher explaining the subject with total naturalness And being able to show many details, it would be fantastic, this is what many projects are trying to carry a cable. It would make history and geography classes one of the most exciting classes of the school, being able to travel through each augmented reality and also learn to learn, associate knowledge and improve academic performance in these subjects.
These are just some of the changes that come in education in the 21st century, I hope the fires received my first post and I await your comments, opinions and criticism to continue improving
