Sometimes it is very hard for a child to share that they are being hurt at the school. As a teacher, on the first day of every school year, I discuss with all of my students that they should share with someone when they are being bullied or hurt either with someone at home or at school. Many of will but many find it difficult thinking that they are are tattling. His can be be a very difficult choice for many children to make. So as parents and teachers, we need to watch for changes in the child and reach out to each other. Most of the time, the signs are there, we just have to be observant.
In most situations children do not tell.it the parent(s) because it does not want to make the parent sad or mad.
A child that is bullied has less self confidence and no pride.
