The term or meaning of the word complemented (Cued Speech), are nothing more than visual strategies and positioning that are used for people to understand how they have to produce phonemes and therefore understand the distinctive features, which employs each phoneme to be differentiated from others.

The Cued Speech strategy can be used with all people, of all ages, but it is very important to emphasize for example in:

  • People with apraxia of speech.

  • In people with articulation problems.

The most basic.

Attention in the mouth of the person speaking to him: Suggest that the child put his eyes on it, is to capture how the mouth moves when making the pronunciations.
