Sport is a value in itself because children do not want to practice it to lose weight or have a body with muscles. When adults leave the children of two or three children free, for example, in a square or on a court, the natural behavior in them is to play.

Sport itself conveys many values, but also educates children in a philosophy of life and healthy lifestyle habits. Not only this, but it also becomes the adolescent stage, in a certain way an isolator that avoids some type of inappropriate and harmful behavior.

Adults should instill sport as part of a child's life. And this for what?, So that the child can develop fully, because he is being educated in a series of values that are necessary for life.

Humility.

It should always be emphasized that the results obtained individually and in groups are the results of teamwork. Understanding that the success that is seen as their own, is that of everyone.

The values that are learned in sports are values for life. Everything learned in the game is transferable, both in the game and the school environment and vice versa.

When children begin to understand that to achieve a specific goal in the game, they must:

❖ Give a beneficial performance.

❖ Give an effort.

This makes, that it manages to serve in studies, but also children who combine physical activity, sports and studies learn to have:

❖ Prioritize.

❖ Time management.

The practice of sports, favors the cognitive, helps to think more clearly, sports relax you, dreams are repaired, you can rest well, that is, that favors in all aspects.

The fact that the child wants to improve himself every time he has to practice implies abandoning the previous routine and the comfortable zone that he usually has.

It involves exposing oneself to something new, to having to invest an effort, to improve things.

How do we encourage children to continue in sports?

❖ We must decriminalize failure and error.

❖ Teach that you should assess the performance and effort over the result.

❖ Correct constructively.

❖ Encourage the child to have autonomy.

❖ Teach him to take away the courage that is given to fear, so that he understands that fear can not be with him and that it is much stronger.

❖ You must always speak positively to encourage.

❖ Always reinforce everything the child does based on their effort.

The blackboard of the fears: It is about hanging a blackboard where each children should write their fears, what they fear in the game, and why.

Example:

❖ Fear of error.

This will result in accepting advice and putting aside those fears that lead nowhere, as everyone should be encouraged to win as a team.
