The Greens join Civil Society Organizations and Entrepreneurs of the North West Region of Cameroon to commemorate the International Youth Day 2018
Theme: "Safe Spaces for Youth" #SafeSpaces4Youth #IYD2018
On Saturday the 11th of August 2018, The Greens joined civil society activists from more than 15 Civil society organizations and more than 15 Entrepreneurs from diverse business backgrounds to commemorate the 2018 International Youth Day under the theme "Safe Spaces for Youth"

Starting at 09:00AM at the Conference hall of Blue Pearl Hotel with more than 80 youths drawn from the civil society and business world present, the Youth forum of the International Youth Day 2018 had as theme " Building integrity and getting things done" and started with a spoken word which was presented by Mottanni from Y’G Inc.
This was followed by a powerful presentation on Operational Excellence by the CEO of Y’G Incorporated, Nfor Yembe (@nforyembe).

Mr. Njuakom Francis giving the key note address on integrity and getting things done
The presentation was followed by a key note address from Mr. Njuakom Francis (Founder/Executive Director) of Community Development volunteers for Technical Assistance (CDVTA) during which he effectively drilled the youths on how to build integrity and get things done as pillars and emphasized on the importance of integrity and action as catalyst for creating safe spaces for youth.

IYD 2018 Panel
At this point, a panel comprising of the Executive Director of Hope for Needy Association (HOFNA), the CEO of Vuvu Designs, the Communications Officer of Mbororo Social and Cultural Development Association (MBOSCUDA), the CEO of Think Tank Group, the Executive Director of The Greens and Executive Director of Community Development volunteers for Technical Assistance (CDVTA) was composed to lead discussions about Safe Spaces for Youths as a key to sustainable development.
For 2 hours we shared knowledge on what safe spaces are, how to create safe spaces for youth and the role of safe spaces for youths in nation building.

The event also witnessed a fundraising campaign to support persons who have been displaced as a result of the Anglophone crisis. It raised 32000CFAF and recorded a series of pledges.

The team then posed for a family picture after which they moved to the St Paul’s field for a gala match between Civil Society Organizations vs Business Entrepreneurs.

The football game that lasted 2 hours ended saw both teams score 3 goals and ended with penalties that saw the Entrepreneurs F.C win by 4 goals to 3.
