Very eloquently said @mountainjewel. Having grown up in the mid-West in rural farm and ranch country, my father always gave thanks to the hands that raised the food on the table before each meal. Lack of respect for the peasant and their connection to the earth is also lack of respect for the earth and their knowledge of it.
